My Experience of stay at Ibis Coimbatore and an enthralling ride in Hot Air balloon, Pollachi

My two days visit to Hotel Ibis Coimbatore was fully packed and memorable. It’s located in the heart of the city’s central business district at Lakshmi Mills Junction. I was there around the 4^th Edition of Tamil Nadu International balloon Festival 2018 in the coconut city of Pollachi with the support of Ibis Coimbatore as the hospitality partner.

The tall and majestic Ibis building next to the signal was quite prominent and welcoming. The interior building had an elegant appearance with sporadic red color pattern. However, what strikes me the most was the hospitality of its staff. They spared no effort in making my check in was very efficient and quick. The hotel’s amazing staff made sure everything was smooth. Nicely appointed standard room with an extremely comfortable bed and clean though bathroom was quite small. I totally loved the ambience and the perfect stay for family.

The lunch at restaurant was the best, I had seen for few Chettinad cuisines. Their crispy kuzhi panniyaram, mouthwatering Briyani were my favorite despite continental food was their main focus on menu.

Hot Air Balloon Ride Experience with Ibis Coimbatore.

On the next day, I was transported with Ibis Manager Venu Gopal to coconut city for Balloon festival in dawn hours and I was bit excited though ballooning was something that had always fascinated me. Upon reaching there, I noted that they featured 12 hot air balloons from six countries and special attraction was 2.0 Movie Balloon among the various other innovative hot air balloons that took part in the event.

After the crew inflated the balloon first with cold and then with hot air, we were ready to jump onboard of the hot air balloon basket .It was really small but it felt safe. After receiving landing and safety instructions we were ready to take off the ground. The first time hot air balloon experience with ibis coimbatore was enthralling and my passion for the arts was evident in my expressions the moment I saw the hot air balloons up close. It was pure joy and excitement. I marveled at each passing balloon up in the sky because their colors were like exploding nebula in the galaxy. As the balloon slowly floated up in the air I hardly took notice of any movements. It floated around gently so that we could take in the amazing view of Pollachi and coconut farms from the air and it was a sight to behold. After nearly 40 minutes of floating the sun rays started to warm up the places with brighter colors and we slowly approached our landing site .The landing was expected to be smooth but a bit bumpy one. We forcefully landed on the ground filled with Coconut farm. It was fun to experience the crash landing though everyone was safe. It was wonderful experience to cherish and I must recommend everyone to try balloon ride at least once in their life!
